It is at the heart of this Euro 2021 (or 2020) that Konami has chosen to put online a small demo for its next football simulation. Indeed, eFootball PES 2022 is entitled to a beta open on consoles right now!
Until its release at the end of the year, PES 2022 performs a small dress rehearsal via a trial version. The latter is downloadable by all players and it is not necessary to have an active subscription or PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play it. Because, in order to prepare for the launch, the game’s open beta focuses mainly on its connected features.

In his press release, Konami states that “the purpose of this beta is to evaluate the quality of the matchmaking and the connection to the servers”. The Japanese editor specifies in passing that the gameplay, the graphics or the balancing are not definitive since the game is still in development. Cross-play between consoles in the same family is supported.
Finally, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United are the only playable teams. The beta is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X |S. Remember that PES 2022 will use the Unreal Engine instead of Konami’s Fox Engine. The release date has not yet been announced.
