New modes, operators... and even the release date! If the season 4 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has already been teased by Activision, many details were unveiled yesterday on the official website of the game.
Promised update, update due: June 09, Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest announced that a preview of the fourth season of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War would take place on this occasion. Four days later, the campaign content was released by Activision and Treyarch. It is in a long post published on the official website of Call of Duty that the title made the full information.
OPERATORS, WEAPONS, CARDS… WHAT’S NEW?
On the operator side, three characters appear. Jackal, available from launch, is a South African who has proven himself by infiltrating the CIA for Perseus. Available later, Salah and Weaver will swell the ranks of NATO. As of June 16, three new weapons will also arrive among the five promised by Treyarch. The MG 82 machine gun (battle pass level 15), the C58 assault rifle (level 31) and the nail gun well known to Black Ops III players will be available upon launch. It will be necessary to wait for the club and the OT 9 machine gun.
In addition, four cards (new or old) arrive. From the launch of season 4, the Algerian desert will be the scene of clashes in 12 against 12 and 6 against 6 in a map called Collateral. It will be accompanied by the port of Amsterdam, playable in 2c2 and 3c3. Finally, two Black Ops II arenas are making their comeback: the beloved Hijacked will be available on June 16 while Rush will make his appearance later in the season.
The players of Contagion are also not forgotten since a new card named Mauer der Toten will make its arrival in the coming weeks, with new quests to make.
Are there any new fashions?
Players can expect three modes during this fourth season. Available at the launch of the new campaign, Sat-Link is the only new mode: playing together, it consists of connecting satellites as long as possible. Also available at the exit, a charged ball makes its return. Introduced during Call of Duty: Black Ops first of the name, it lets players kill each other with their hand-to-hand weapons and only a bullet in their magazine. In the coming weeks, players will see the classic Flag Capture landing, which consists of bringing a flag from the opposing base.
On the Warzone side, we can note the presence of two modes for this fourth season. The first copy the Season 1 Resurgence by introducing it into Verdansk. In addition to the traditional rules (no gulag, the position of the rest of the squad displayed when an enemy is shot), Verdansk Resurgence Mini opts for a smaller card and with a number of players of 44 or 45 according to the squads. Later in the season, a Payload mode will also be included in the royal battle. Depending on their role, players will either have to bring a cargo to port or prevent the opposing team from doing so
