It’s finally here, the long-awaited trailer for the new episode of Battlefield: Discover Battlefield 2042, the sixth installment of the first-person shooter. We take a look at what awaits us, before we can enjoy the game as of October 22, 2021.

Gamers, it’s time to take up arms: the battlefield is calling you. EA unveiled the first Battlefied 6 trailer, Battlefield 2042. Epic battles, armies of enemies, chaos and surprising events await us in this new opus to be released on October 22 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

In this trailer, we discover a world on the verge of chaos, ravaged by shortages of drinking water, food and energy. Humans are trying to survive as the United States and Russia wage a ruthless total war. The fatherless, refugees caught between war and ecological disasters, will have to fight for their survival. Among them are soldiers determined to save the world from total destruction.

We are thus a Specialist, a soldier without a homeland who has a unique specialty and a fully customizable equipment. Each Specialist has a distinctive attribute. Players also benefit from an arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons, equipment and vehicles.

Oskar Gabrielson, General Manager of DICE, the developer of Battlefield, expressed his enthusiasm for this new opus in a press release: Battlefield 2042 marks an evolution in the franchise and embodies what our players expect: a multiplayer Battlefield sandbox mode pushed to its maximum, with intense battles and loads of incredible and unexpected events. At DICE Stockholm, DICE LA, Criterion and EA Gothenburg, everyone had a lot of fun developing this game. Now it’s time for the players to join the adventure. They will discover three distinct and incredibly epic experiences that are sure to please them.”

The game’s developers have put everything on the improved capabilities of the next-generation consoles: on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, you can play games with up to 128 people at the same time. Expect to participate in multiplayer battles like you’ve never done before. In addition, real-time events can completely change your map or game flow, without warning you. Nothing is ever won, and your skills will be put to the test!

In addition to these new features, Battlefield 2042 offers several game modes detailed in the EA release:

Total War: The new-generation version of the popular Conquest and Percée modes features the franchise’s biggest cards and hosts up to 128 players for the first time ever. Feel the intensity of total war in large-scale battles like never before, on maps with dynamic weather conditions, environmental hazards and dramatic events such as tornadoes that ravage the map and sand storms that obscure the sun.

Hazard zone: A novelty in the Battlefield franchise, high stakes and squadron oriented. This modern multiplayer experience is very different from the Conquest and Total War Breakthrough modes.

A third experiment, developed by DICE LA, will be unveiled in an EA Play Live live on July 22. This mode is a new type of exciting game for the franchise. This is a love letter for Battlefield fans, which will be especially appreciated by long-time players.
