The Sniper Elite franchise is still far from having said its last word: it will soon release a completely new part, entirely dedicated to virtual reality. Good news for fans of the genre and technology: a release date has just been made official in a new video.
Looking like nothing, the Sniper Elite saga begins to grow seriously. Judge instead: seven games and a compilation have already seen the light of day spread over fifteen years, with opus looking at the side of the traditional Second World War… as well as the zombie experience. And yet, it’s clearly not over since the franchise still has to deliver a Sniper Elite 5, currently in development, and a Sniper Elite VR: it’s the latter that interests us today since we finally know its release date.
To do this, the Rebellion studio has fashioned a new trailer full of gameplay: the opportunity to see that if the game incorporates well the precision that a sniper must have, it will also propose many phases of action much more brutal and close. A war game entirely designed for virtual reality, which will be available on July 8, 2021 on PS4 via the PlayStation VR and on PC via the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift/Quest and the Valve Index.
