Graphics Cards: Nvidia Formalizes its GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

Nvidia has just unveiled its new GPUs at the Computex show: the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti are out.

Nvidia took advantage of the return of Computex in Taipei to present its new products. On the program, two new graphics cards, starting with the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, a muscular flagship, designed to accompany the most demanding players.

Powered by Nvidia’s Ampere architecture, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti ships 10,240 Nvidia Cuda cores, a 1.37 GHz base frequency and a 1.67 GHz Boost frequency. Its standard memory configuration is 12 GB GDDR6X (against only 10 GB for the GeForce RTX 3080). It supports Ray Tracing, IA Nvidia DLSS and Nvidia Reflex for latency reduction. Streamers can also benefit from the features provided by Nvidia Broadcast. This graphic card is announced at the price of 1199 dollars, for an availability fixed from the end of the week, to June 3.

The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, meanwhile, is announced at a rate divided by two: 599 dollars, with an availability fixed on June 10. The program includes 6144 Nvidia Cuda cores, a 1.77 GHz Boost frequency and a 1.58 GHz base frequency. 8 GB GDDR6X are present in its standard memory configuration. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has 1.5 times the performance of the GeForce RTX 2070 Super from the previous generation, and 2 times the GeForce RTX 1070 Ti.

However, the availability of these two cards should be very limited at launch, since Nvidia is still suffering from a serious shortage of components, which should not improve before 2022.

MORE AND MORE NVIDIA-ENABLED GAMES

Along with the introduction of these two new GPUs, Nvidia announced that more than 130 games are now compatible with its RTX acceleration technologies. Among the games supporting both the Ray Tracing and the DLSS presented during the Computex keynote, we can mention The Ascent, DOOM Eternal, DYING: 1983, Icarus, LEGO Builder’s Journey and The Persistence, while Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rainbow Six Siege only support the DLSS.

Finally, Nvidia Reflex is, for its part, included in «12 of the 15 best competitive shooting games», boasts the manufacturer: Escape from Tarkov, CrossFire HD, Naraka: Bladepoint and War Thunder join the list of compatible games.
